Stones on the OGC Nice supporters bus on the way home after the Lyon-Nice match on Friday evening

It was certainly not an evening for the people of Nice. Neither on the field nor off it. After a 1-0 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais, experienced by all the red and blacks as a total steal, a bus of supporters was allegedly stoned on the way home. More specifically, the supporters’ club. One passenger was reported injured.

“#OGCNice supporters offer their full support to the club whose bus was targeted on the road to Nice, and in particular to one of its members injured during the stone attack,” React to Club on the X Network during Friday through Saturday nights. “The club calls on the authorities to shed light on this incident, the consequences of which could be dramatic.”

Some photos have been circulating on social networks showing a major impact on the windshield of the bus. Internet users are venting their anger. Clement Turpin’s controversial arbitration had already tested his patience. This incident may have finished her.

“Hardly better than the Marseilles!”

Rhône Prefecture allowed the arrival of 300 Nice supporters by bus and under police supervision.

“It’s okay to criticize Marseilles but it’s hardly better!”, supporters rave about the club on its Facebook page. A reference to the serious events which took place in Marseilles on 29 October. A bus of Lyon players was pelted with stones and their then coach Fabio Grosso suffered a serious eye injury. The OM-OL meeting was adjourned.

Alerted to the incident, the Departmental Public Security Directorate (DDSP 06) was not yet able to confirm this information on Saturday morning.

“Another trip will be banned. Nothing will ever change with these guys who are potential criminals. And he’s still outside the stadium, no accountability!!!!”, the supporters club continues. Founded in 1947, when OGC Nice rose to the elite of French football, CDS is the oldest group of Aiglons faithful.

“We make it clear that this is not ultra either, because it is a supporters club”An internet user comments on X. On Facebook, others make it clear that that’s it “Once the bus was released by a police escort, it was attacked and stoned on its way out of Lyon”. This depressing episode will not fail to get people talking.
