Rogue should replace the toplaner and bring Finn back

After a disastrous Winter Split, Rogue could take advantage of the break to make some changes to its LEC team composition. Matthias “Szygenda” Jensen will be replaced by Finn “Finn” Vistel as the new starting toplaner, marking a possible return to the Swedish contender’s team.

During the 2024 LEC Winter Split, a competitive segment that marked Tag’s return to the European League, Rogue went through a difficult period, closing the regular season with a poor record of two wins and seven losses. Among the highlights, Rogue managed to score a notable victory against G2 Esports. However, the team suffered significant setbacks against opponents such as Team BDS, Fnatic and SK Gaming. These insufficient results prevented Rogue from qualifying for the playoffs. Despite some success, Rogue was unable to place itself among the first eight teams to qualify for the playoffs, finishing the LEC 2024 regular season in ninth place, tied with Karmine Corp, thus eliminating them from the final stages of the tournament.

In order to improve its performance for the 2024 Spring Split, Rogue is reportedly looking to change its team composition. According to recent reports from Sheep Esport, Finn “Fin” Vistel, a player famous with Rogue in the past, is set to return to the team as the new starting top laner, replacing Matthias “Szygenda” Jensen. After playing in North America and Europe with teams like CLG, Axel Esports and most recently Astralis, Finn’s return to Rog should mark a turning point.

With his background in Rogue and his relationships with competitors like Markoon and Larsson with whom he has played before, Finn should bring both experience and a certain familiarity that can improve team cohesion and harmony.
