Catherine O’Hara boards ‘The Last of Us’ season two

Hollywood legend Catherine O’Hara has joined the cast of HBO The Last of Us Season two.

Starring Pedro Pascal and Bela Ramsay, the show is based on the popular PlayStation video game of the same name and debuted on HBO last year. The show received critical acclaim and was later renewed for a second season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, O’Hara has been cast in an undisclosed role. She joins fellow newcomers Caitlin Dever, Isabella Merced and Young Mazzino.

Set 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization, The Last of Us Follows Joel (Pascal), a hardened survivor who is hired to rescue 14-year-old Ellie (Ramsey) from an oppressive quarantine zone. What begins as a menial job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both traverse the US and rely on each other for survival.

In season two, Dever will take on the role of Abby in the series created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckman. The character is described as “a skilled soldier whose black-and-white view of the world is challenged as she seeks revenge for those she once loved.”

Merced will portray Dina, described as “a free-wheeling spirit whose devotion to Eli is tested by the brutality of the world they inhabit,” while Mazzino will portray Jesse, “a pillar of her community who puts everyone’s needs before her own.” is. , sometimes at a terrible cost.”
