Israeli troops “took control of an underground missile production site used to make long-range projectiles capable of reaching northern Israel,” a military spokesman said.

In recent weeks, soldiers have been operating in Buraj, in the heart of the Palestinian enclave, and have discovered several tunnel openings reaching a depth of about 30 meters and, “with certain intelligence, discovered terrorist strongholds used to manufacture weapons,” he explained.

Elsewhere, troops located numerous other underground production facilities used to produce Hamas mortar shells, light weapons and long-range rockets, explosives and precision enhancers for unmanned aerial vehicles, in operations that resulted in the killing of “dozens” of military personnel, according to the army.
