The Last of Us Part II Remastered releases on January 19, and the entire Naughty Dog team is eager to provide the definitive version for new and returning players to explore Eli and Abby’s story. With behind-the-scenes looks and new game modes, The Last of Us Part II Remastered takes you deeper into the story and gameplay.

Ahead of the game’s release this week, we’re excited to be able to show you the new features in the trailer that The Last of Us Part II Remastered improves on the original game. Check it out below:

For former players eager to rediscover the game in its remastered version, the upgrade will be available upon the release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered for €10! If you already own the physical or digital version of The Last of Us Part II on PlayStation 4, you can visit the PlayStation Store when The Last of Us Part II Remastered is released to purchase the upgrade. If you own The Last of Us Part II on disc, you’ll need to insert it into your PS5 via the disc drive to download and play the digital version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. You will be able to import your PS4 game save files and continue from where you left off. Any progress from in-game trophies will also be imported into The Last of Us Part II Remastered.

There is no return mode

Speaking of trophies, The Last of Us Part II Remastered’s new roguelike-style survival mode No Return has its own set of trophies that will encourage you to check out this new mode. Featuring over 10 playable characters, including some never before seen in the world of The Last of Us, exciting new game modifiers and much more, we can’t wait to experience all this new content from the world of The Last of Us.
