Here’s what we know about Naughty Dog’s new game

An interview with the game’s co-creator has finally cleared up the confusion surrounding the possibility of a possible sequel to the hit PlayStation diptych.

In the devastating panorama of post-apocalyptic works, a story emerges. The Last of Us, a video game epic orchestrated by Naughty Dog Studios, has managed to transcend the boundaries of video games to become our global pop culture phenomenon, thanks to the success of its adaptation. After the controversial second part, the original title would be on the verge of becoming a trilogy.

The last of them?

Naughty Dog’s video game work chronicled Joel and Ellie’s travails in two chapters. The first is a disillusioned smuggler traumatized by the death of his own daughter, who finds himself on the trail of another. The Last of Us Quickly became one of PlayStation’s most important franchises. After the first game in 2013 and the massive success of the series last year, a sequel seemed obvious, but nothing has been official until now.

Indeed, Saga co-creator Neil Druckmann has long been tight-lipped on the subject. In a documentary about The Last of Us Part II Published a few days earlier, the latter was nevertheless a trader of optimistic news: “ The first game revolves around the concept of unconditional love that a parent feels for their child. The second one about the pursuit of justice at all costs, justice for the one you love, we felt like there was a clear concept and continuity with the first game, about love (… ) I wondered, is there a concept here? The sequel? And for years I couldn’t find it, but recently things have changed. »
