What differences are there between Resident Evil 4 remake and the original game?

Resident Evil 4 remake is a dream come true, although it has several differences with respect to resident evil 4 original that make it a unique experience. In this section of our Resident Evil 4 remake guide we tell you what are the differences with the original:
What changes and differences are there between the original Resident Evil 4 and the remake?
As with the two RE Engine remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 4 Remake also brings with it its own series of changes and news with respect to the original video game released in 2005.
- The first difference is the most obvious: a much superior technical section. Resident Evil 4 remake makes use of the RE Engine, Capcom’s own engine that was released with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in 2017.
- Although the story follows the same key points (Leon goes to a village in Spain to rescue Ashley Graham, daughter of the President of the United States), there are new scenes that expand the plot and try to tie up loose ends present in the original. For example, Luis accompanies Leon for much longer in the remake than in the original, and he has additional scenes with Ada Wong.
- Resident Evil 4 remake does not include the additional Ada Wong Separate Ways campaign, originally introduced in the PlayStation 2 version of the game. In the original game and its re-releases, this additional game mode was unlocked after completing the story for the first time.
- Resident Evil 4 remake does not include the Launch Mercenaries Mode; will be included later. The original and its re-releases included it as standard and was unlocked after completing the story for the first time.
- In Resident Evil 4 remake we have stealth mechanics. Leon can crouch low to be inconspicuous and even silently take out enemies with his knife so he can move forward without attracting too much attention.
- There are new enemies and bosses.
- There are collectible figures, called mechanical castellan
- There are side quests, called Peddler’s Requests
- Spinels are no longer treasures, but a new currency to buy items in the peddler’s special shop.
- Leon can kill the Plagas with his knife before they manage to transform the enemies.
- There is a trunk like the one in the classic Resident Evil, although it is not physical, since it is a menu that opens on the typewriter and that allows you to store objects if there is no space in the inventory.
