This Friday the long-awaited launch of Resident Evil 4 Remake and fortunately it lives up to what the fans expected, which has made it a strong candidate for GOTY 2023. Unfortunately, the Resident Evil 4 Remake did not have a perfect launch, as it has some problems in its version of playstation 5 and Capcom already promised to fix them.
Yesterday the Resident Evil 4 Remake went on sale on Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC, but for now it seems that only the PS5 is the one that has had problems. “We are aware of an issue where players may experience flickering lights at the bottom of the screen”, Capcom pointed out through the official account of the Resident Evil games on social networks.
Although Capcom mentioned a problem that has been appearing in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, the company clarifies that at the moment this only happens when playing the PlayStation 5 version of the game, so you should not have problems if you play it on PS4, Xbox X|S Series or PC. Meanwhile Capcom recommended some fixes for the PS5 version of Resident Evil 4 Remake.
For starters, Capcom recommends that when you run into this issue you save your game and quit the game, as this might fix the annoying problem. If this doesn’t fix it, Capcom recommends changing the following settings in the Resident Evil 4 Remake Options menu: Under the Display tab, turn off Depth of Field; in the Camera tab, turn off Motion Blur.
Although Capcom shared a temporary fix for this annoying Resident Evil 4 issue on its PS5 version, the company also promised to release an update to fix it and apologized for the inconvenience it has caused to players.
