The Last Ronin, a triple A game on the horizon?

If you are a die-hard follower of the adventures of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael, get ready for what’s to come! The comic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin” Released in 2020, it will be adapted into a triple-A video game.

But that’s not all, the project promises to bring a darker universe focused on action, which is inspired by the “God of War” game series.

The adaptation is in charge of Paramount Global, the company that currently owns the rights to the adaptations of the franchise. According to Doug Rosen, the company’s vice president of gaming, the playable version of “The Last Ronin” will be very faithful to the story and the comic book setting. This means that fans can look forward to an exciting and authentic gaming experience, transporting them right into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe!

The story features a world taken over by the Shredder in which the Ninja Turtles were unable to protect society. In this context, only one of the four protagonists survives and is forced to use the weapons of his fallen brothers as a form of resistance against the imposed new order.

The new game promises to be a single player adventure

According to Rosen, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin adaptation will also be faithful when it comes to its gameplay. The idea of ​​the project is to create an adventure strictly for one player and focused on its protagonist, although it does not rule out the possibility of having sections in which we play with the other turtles.

So far, the executive has not confirmed the identity of the study responsible for the project, but said Paramount has already found the right partner. According to him, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is at a point where we can see different types of adaptations, some of which may be aimed at a more adult audience, while others may be aimed at a broader segment.

Rosen promises that more details will be released about The Last Ronin and other adaptations of the series. in the coming months and years. The original story has five editions and was conceived by the original creators of the Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird and, so far, does not have an official translation into Latin Spanish.
