Where to take street this weekend?

This Sunday, December 18, at 6:30 pm, the Plaza Santiago Palmer in Caguas will become the stage for the musical “A child will change everything.” The production, authored by Deborah Craig-Claar & David T. Clydesdale, presents the biblical Christmas story with a contemporary approach, interpreted from the perspective of the residents of the inn that housed the manger. The cast includes about 75 singers, actors, dancers, and children, along with an orchestra of teachers.

Today, Friday the 16th, from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the party lights up in the Placita de Santurce with the Asalto Navideño event. There will be happy hours in the different establishments of the Placita. The music will be in charge of LuisGa Núñez and the Sound, José Nogueras and Bobby Valentín.

Crafts Fair

The Puerto Rico Tourism Company returns with its traditional Crafts Fair, tomorrow, Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18, on Paseo de la Princesa in Old San Juan. In addition to representation of the different craft lines, there will be kiosks with food and music.

Big Band Christmas Show

Tomorrow Saturday December 17, from 8:00 pm the show will be presented Big Band Christmas Show of the Brokys On Band with Glenn Monroig, Roberto Sueiro and as guest artists; Hilda Ramos and Ruben Emmanuelli in the American International Grand Ballroom of the Condado Marriott Hotel.

The Big Band will play iconic hits of jazz and rock music, led by the maestro Angel Cucco Pena. The participants will interpret the themes of The Eagles, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Van Halen with some Christmas musical surprises. Tickets in Ticketera.

This is how the tuna celebrates

The Tuna of the University of Puerto Rico presents this Sunday the 18th, at 5:00 pm at the UPR Theater, the concert “This is how our Tuna celebrates Christmas.” The renowned group, directed by Professor Claudio Cruz and made up of 24 members, promises to bring the joy and mischief that distinguish them to the rhythm of pasodobles, Christmas carols and typical Puerto Rican and Christmas music. Likewise, the group will perform more than 20 songs representative of its 60-year career, including pieces that were recently presented in Colombia, during the international competitive festival. Party in Mayaguez

The festivities continue in Mayagüez this weekend in Plaza Almirante Cristóbal Colón, with kiosks, artisans and machines. Tonight El Gran Combo from Puerto Rico will perform and tomorrow Los Cantores de Bayamón.

Piglet Festival

Tomorrow and Sunday the Festival of the Lechón is celebrated in the Paseo Artesanal de Las Piedras, next to the town hall. In addition to being able to try this delicious dish, you can enjoy the music of Bonny Cepeda, La Secta, Trío Los Condes, Andrés Jiménez and Los Cantores de Bayamón, among others.

Employers in Lares

The Plaza de la Revolución, in Lares, will host the Fiestas de Pueblo this weekend, with the presentation of, among others, Charlie Aponte, Payaso Remi, Odilio González, Rumba Caliente, Orquesta Zodiac and La Tribu de Abrante.
