Dodgers replacements at 3B due to departure of Justin Turner

The Dodgers declined the option justin turner by 2023, turning the two-time All-Star into free agent. A veteran and leader of the Dodgers, the 37-year-old third baseman has been with the Los Angeles team since 2014, when he was signed as a free agent after four seasons with the Mets. In eight of Turner’s nine seasons with the Blues, the club won eight NL West titles.

Others Dodgers options for third base are Max Muncythe Cuban guy Michael Vargasthe team’s No. 3 prospect on the MLB Pipeline list, in addition to the 26-year-old utility man, Luke Williamsrecently claimed off waivers from the Miami Marlins.

Overall, Turner hit .296/.375/.490 with a 133 OPS+. But in 2022, due largely to injuries, the third baseman appeared in just 128 games.
