‘Fortnite’: PS4 and PS5 already share the balance of ‘paVos’ with other platforms

From the offices of Epic Games confirm that as of update v.20.40all ‘pto you’ (‘Fortnite’ money) purchased directly from PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 stores, will be shared with the user’s account on other platforms like Xbox. Until the arrival of the patch, users who bought V-Bucks on Sony platforms had their balance separate from any other purchased on any additional console. Now all the money from PS4 and PS5 will be shared with Xbox, PC, Android and Cloud Gaming services.

With the wallet update on Sony consoles, only Nintendo Switch is left out when it comes to sharing balance with the rest of the platforms. “To take advantage of this feature, players must ensure they have linked their PlayStation or Xbox accounts to their Epic Games account. The ‘Fortnite’ shared wallet is not currently available on Switch, so the ‘paVos’ purchased on other compatible platforms cannot be used on Switch or vice versa. As always, the ‘paVos’ obtained on any platform through the battle pass, the mission packs or Save the world will be shared on the rest of the platforms”, they explain from the entertainment company.

The restrictions apply exclusively to purchased ‘paVos’. Any in-game content you purchase with V-Bucks, such as costumes, will be available on all platforms. Check below how the distribution in the game wallet is after the update:
