Amber Heard has introduced some of its witnesses in the middle of the media trial against her ex-husband Johnny Deppwhom he countersued after the actor charged her with defamation for 50 million dollars. It was recently the turn of iO Tillett Wright, who testified via pre-recorded video in Fairfax, Virginia.
Depp allegedly joked with Wright about physically assaulting the actress from Aquaman after being legally married, in February 2015.
“As we were walking back from the ceremony with Johnny, I congratulated him on pulling it off and he said, ‘We’re married now I can punch her in the face and no one can do anything about it‘” she said under oath, joined by her sister Whitney Henriquez and her friend Raquel Pennington, who claimed to see Heard’s injuries.
Also, Wright pointed out that did not personally witness any physical abuse of the protagonist of Pirates of the Caribbeanbut had discussions with him about his doubts about his relationship with Amber, as well as his constant jealousy. He “He suffered great bouts of jealousy in relationships which had also led to heavy drinking and many angry activities.”
“Said he was so in love that it made him feel crazy and that he thought she was cheating on him and slept with his co-stars. I replied: ‘I think if he had an affair, I would be one of the few people he would tell. I don’t keep secrets or lies for anyone, and I would tell you if that happened so you could make your own decisions,'” he added via People.
The other mentions of their wedding in the trial
Although both argued that they had been beaten during their honeymoon, Johnny assured that his daughter Lily-Rose did not attend their marriage because he did not get along with his then partner.
On the stand, he also said that he was apparently drugged by the friends who were then surrounding the actressalthough all he saw was a regular bag of MDMA.
For his part, Heard assured that one day after they legally united their lives, Depp met another woman with whom he had sex.
