Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth own a portfolio of properties, all impressive, as Love Property points out, and spread across the country. Witherspoon is a Nashville native, so some of her homes are located there, and some are family residences. Witherspoon can sometimes be seen in Charleston, shopping on popular King Street or reading the Spoleto Festival in the charming downtown area. She owns a beach property on Sullivan’s Island there. And for those vacation excursions, Witherspoon and Toth can always venture to their luxurious vacation home and gated community in the Bahamas. But one of the most recent additions to the Witherspoon and Toth property portfolio, the Brentwood Estate, was back on the market almost as soon as it was purchased.

Brentwood Estate, as described by Realtor, is a property in lower Mandeville Canyon, spread across 10,343 square feet. It has seven bedrooms and a whopping 10 bathrooms. The floor plan is open, and there are custom finishes and millwork throughout, making this an absolute dream home.
But after only two years of ownership, Witherspoon and Toth decided to sell. The property was listed in March for $25 million, which is substantially more than the $15.895 million they paid for it, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Nashville feels like home

Witherspoon has been selling some of those high-profile California properties more regularly. In addition to listing the Brentwood Estate, he had also previously sold his Palisades Riviera mansion. That property was priced at $17 million and is now owned by an AutoZone heiress. In addition, that year, the couple also sold a property in Malibu for $6.7 million.
So why are California properties selling? Nashville seems to feel like home for the couple, with family close by. She often comments publicly about spending time in her Nashville-area hometown, seeing all the renewed growth of the communities there. And it may be the reason why Nashville homes don’t go up for sale as quickly as their California homes.
