“I’ve been waiting for this for 33 years”
Cameron Diaz has turned her back on acting, but she’s still a huge movie fan, as she makes clear on Instagram.
Cameron Diaz, 48, made films for many years and was an integral part of the Hollywood machinery until she decided to quit herself some time ago – for her small family with husband Benji Madden, 41, and daughter Raddix, 1. Films are still practicing today a stimulus on them. Especially one: The sequel to “Coming 2 America” (German title: “The Prince from Zamunda 2”) really blows you away.
Cameron Diaz expresses her joy on Instagram
“Raise your hands if you’ve waited 33 years for this moment and seen the first ‘Coming to America’ at least 100 times,” writes the actress in her Instagram story. The accompanying picture shows a promo package that she received from Amazon Prime. There is a small crown in it, as well as a handwritten letter. To do this, she links the actors. It seems that one can hardly wait until the film is available on Amazon.
Celebrities celebrate virtual premiere of “Coming 2 America”
On Wednesday evening (March 3, 2021) there was a virtual premiere in which some Hollywood stars – including Cameron Diaz – were allowed to participate. To do this, they were equipped with crowns and showed the funniest moments of their evenings on Instagram. “Coming 2 America” is the sequel to “Coming to America” from 1988. It took 33 years to complete the second part. Eddie Murphy plays the iconic role of former Prince Akeem Joffer again – the new edition promises to be funny too.
John Legend and his family also celebrate the start of the film, with the musician contributing a song to the soundtrack. Together with his two kids, he watched the film at the virtual premiere – the pictures are as sweet as sugar.
