Los Angeles (USA) – Finally the time has come: Selena Gomez (28) is back!
On Friday, the brunette beauty made her fans a little joy and surprised them: with her latest single “De Una Vez” (Eng. “Once for All”) – her first Spanish single and at the same time the first track of her announced album “Baila Conmigo” (Eng. “Dance with me”).
It follows almost exactly one year after the release of their last album “Rare”, which quickly climbed to number three in the German charts.
“This is the beginning of something I’ve wanted to explore for so long,” Gomez wrote on Twitter, sharing a link to her re-release.

“I hope you love it as much as I do.”
But why in Spanish?
As the Rolling Stones reported, Gomez described “De Una Vez” as “a beautiful love anthem” in which she processed everything: her hard work on her mental health, overcoming her past heartbreak, and her search for herself.
In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, the singer talked about why she decided to sing in Spanish.
“That’s something I’ve wanted to do for ten years, to work on a Spanish project, because I’m so, so proud of my origins,” she said.
In addition, the singer admits that she is convinced that she “sings better in Spanish”.
One challenge after another!
Back in December, the “Lose You To Love Me” singer gave the first hints that her future music could appear in the Spanish language.
In an interview with Billboard in December, she said that her fans can look forward to a lot of new things in 2021. This probably also includes one or the other Spanish-language project.
War she is sure that “Rare” was her best album so far. Nevertheless, this does not mean for her that she would not challenge herself again for the next one!
