Thanks to declining corona numbers, cinemas in some federal states are already allowed to reopen – depending on the incidence on site – while in others an opening is at least in prospect. But probably at least throughout June, it is likely to remain a patchwork carpet, which makes the launch of films in the cinema still not particularly attractive. Against this background, Warner now has the cinema premiere of another film and leaves the German premiere directly to Sky.
Specifically, it’s about “They Want Me Dead” by Taylor Sheridan with Angelina Jolie, Nicholas Hoult, Jon Bernthal, Tyler Perry and Aidan Gillen, which will be shown on Sky Cinema on June 3 and will also be available via Sky Q and Sky Ticket from this point on. There are no additional costs for subscribers. Angelina Jolie has to protect a boy from nasty killers, deadly thunderstorms and a rapidly spreading forest fire in the film as a “Smoke Jumper”.
Before “The Want Me Dead”, Warner Bros. had already released “Wonder Woman 1984” and “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” first on Sky. Constantin Film is also following this path: Last weekend, the latest part of the horror series “Wrong Turn” entitled “The Foundation” celebrated its German premiere on Sky, and from 25 June the aircraft thriller “Horizon Line” with Allison Williams and Alexander Dreymon will also be shown on Sky and Sky Ticket.
