Horror memory of “Twilight” shoot
Anna Kendrick has no good memories of filming “Twilight”. Twelve years later, the actress now draws a drastic comparison.
Anna Kendrick, 34, made her international breakthrough as an actress in 2008 with her role as Jessica Stanley in the “Twilight” saga. Twelve years later, she remembers the shooting of the first film with mixed feelings. In an interview with “Vanity Fair”, she now even says that she “would have liked to kill everyone”.
Anna Kendrick: She felt so uncomfortable during the shoot
“I just remember that it was cold and I felt miserable.” The weather in Portland in the US state of Oregon had played badly with the crew. Her shoes were completely soaked, says Kendrick. She describes the experience as traumatizing. “I thought to myself, ‘You’re probably a great group of people and at another time we’d be friends, but right now I just want to kill everyone.'”
Anna Kendrick found “Twilight” shooting traumatic
Kendrick even resorts to a dramatic comparison, which she expresses with a twinkle in her eye: “Somehow it also welded us together, as if through trauma. For example, if you think of people who survive a hostage-taking, there is also a connection for life.” During the filming of the second part, which appeared in 2009, the weather was “not quite as intense, and we were all able to get to know each other a little better,” says the actress conciliatory.
