The DOOM Eternal next-generation console upgrade has been published less than a day ago, which allows you to make the most of the power of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S in order to improve the graphics performance or add effects such as Ray Tracing. For Sony users, however, things did not go in the best way. Update July 1 – Bethesda and id Software are aware of the problems encountered in Europe and Australia with the DOOM Eternal update for PS5, the company is working to solve them, soon it will be possible to upgrade without problems.
As is often the case on PlayStation 5, the hours following the debut of the update were problematic and many were unable to upgrade the first-person shooter for free. Fortunately, Bethesda immediately ran for cover and in the course of the evening, everything was solved by the publication on the PlayStation Store of a product to be redeemed to receive the update. But that’s not all, as following the download and installation of the new version of DOOM Eternal, players have discovered that there is no way to transfer the progress of the campaign from one edition to another, which must therefore be restarted from scratch. unlike what happens on the Xbox version, which uses the same save file for all versions. Waiting to find out if the company will implement a fix to support the transfer of saves, we remind you that on our pages you can find the guide on how to upgrade DOOM Eternal for free on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
⚠️We are aware of an issue that players who own the PS4 version of @DOOM Eternal in Europe and ANZ are unable to upgrade to the PS5 version of the game. We are actively working with Sony and hope to resolve the issue soon. Thank you for your patience!
