Tom Felton recalled Helen McCrorywith a touching message, after the sad news arrived last week of the disappearance of the actress at the age of 52, after a battle with cancer.
Helen McCrory played Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter saga, the mother of Tom Felton’s character Draco Malfoy.
The 33-year-old posted on his Instagram account a photo taken from the latest film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in which they hold hands and in the caption he explained how much he learned working with her.
” It’s so sad to suddenly say goodbye. I never took the opportunity to tell her, but she helped so much to shape me as a person, on and off the screen. She was always relentlessly herself, with a sharp wit, a persuasive eloquence, a kind, and warm heart. He could never suffer fools, yet he had time for everyone. ”
” Thank you for lighting the way and holding my hand when I needed it .”
Even Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa’s husband and father of Draco in Harry Potter, has dedicated a toll on his Instagram.
He used the same photo as Tom Felton and wrote, ” Decades ago Helen and I auditioned together for a movie. I went home and told Emma [Hewitt, his wife]: ‘I think I just met. the greatest actress I’ve ever seen. “After years of watching her amaze the audience, I don’t think so anymore … I know .”
In addition to the role in Harry Potter, Helen McCrory was known for playing Cherie Blair in the film The Queen and Polly Gray in the TV series Peaky Blinders.
