Riot shared the details about the TFT mode as promised.
Riot has been struggling with the voices of the community for several weeks, claiming that TFT is now dead. Therefore, the developers decided to share detailed statistics about this mode.
Thanks to this, we know that Riot simply pays off to maintain and invest in Teamfight Tactics.
33 million a month sounds amazing. On the other hand, around 112 million play Minecraft. Anyway, these are really huge numbers.
What exactly does Riot write?
- Every month, over 33 million of you play PT (almost Canadian population!). In addition, since the premiere, you have been able to play a total of 1,725,000,000 hours, of which 720,000,000 hours only in the last 30 days.
- The global average number of players at once at the peak of the League playing increased by 30% when PT hit the servers. This trend continues to this day.
- The region where League has the most players and the hours played in China (definitely). After the premiere, we recorded a 35% increase in the number of hours played in this region, and after a few months, this trend continues.
The system of TFT competitions in 2020
Riot plans to introduce a competition system in 2020, here’s what appears in the official news:
I do not want to spoil everything, so let me just say that we want to introduce a competition system in PT from 2020. Interest is definitely high – the ratio of ranked games to ordinary games in PT is 4: 1, and the mode itself is extremely popular in the most competitive regions, such as Korea. We want to provide the right experience for players who have decided that they will be the best in the world.
It’s safe to say that TFT is developing strongly, and the statistics show that the mode not only does not die but successively gains more fans.
