The Community Is Accusing Blizzzard of Getting Overwatch League Views

The gaming community has accused Blizzard of not necessarily clean play on Overwatch League views on Twitch.

It all began with a known personality in e-sport. Rod Breslau pointed out that Blizzard uses not entirely clean play in terms of Overwatch League streams.

These were to be put on huge information pages and in this way “boost” impressions.

Embedded streams were to land on the largest, worldwide information sites, such as “The Verge”.

The way they are embedded is so controversial that the broadcast is set to auto-play. Everyone who enters the site immediately counts as a viewer.

Browsers have learned to block playback of movies, but it doesn’t work at all.

Of course, it’s not just OWL. Different publishers use the same way to increase viewership. There are many streams from Overwatch professional matches, mainly on Chinese sites.
