disintegration

We have published 9 new Disintegration images as well as a good series of details released by V1 Interactive and Private Division during Gamescom 2019.

We are again talking about Disintegration on the occasion of Gamescom 2019, in particular, today with the first images and various details on the game in question.

Private Division and V1 Interactive showed Disintegration already with a trailer during last night’s Opening Night Live, so we already have a pretty good idea of what it is. The upcoming sci-fi shooter contains a single-player campaign and a multiplayer segment with three distinct modes. The game is developed by V1 Interactive, an independent studio of about 30 industry veterans and new talents who have worked on titles like Halo, Destiny, SOCOM US Navy Seals, and others. Particular interest in Disintegration also arose from the fact that the team is led by Marcus Lehto, co-creator of Halo and former creative director of Bungie.

In Disintegration, players will travel to the near future, when humanity is on the brink of extinction and technology is the only hope for survival. Through a process known as Integration, the human brain is removed and surgically enclosed in robotic armor. A new overbearing enemy superpower known as Rayonne emerges and, maddened by its new supremacy, begins to capture all that is left of humanity by forcing it into robotic integration.

“Disintegration is not the usual first-person shooter and will test the way you approach the battlefield,” said Marcus Lehto, President and Game Director of V1 Interactive. “You will explore a world forever changed by a global conflict. The only way to save life as we know it is by making strategic decisions during each firefight, both as an armed Gravcycle pilot and as a commander of your crew.”

“The game takes place in this beautiful world and has a history full of difficulties and triumphs. Both of these aspects could be the focal point of a single game, but V1 goes a step further,” said Kari Toyama, Senior Producer of Private Division. “Disintegration not only presents an engaging game world and compelling storytelling, but it also offers the possibility of being both in and over the fight in a completely different way than anything else out there right now.”

Disintegration includes a complete single-player campaign in which the player takes on the role of Romer Shoal, an experienced Gravcycle pilot, a flying motor vehicle originally used for search and rescue missions that have been transformed into an armored car loaded with powerful weapons. Romer commands a small resistance team that fights to save what remains of humanity.

The game also features three different multiplayer game modes starting with the launch, each with a variety of maps. These fast-paced team battles require intelligent coordination, using land units with individual abilities and simultaneously maximizing the Gravcycle’s destructive weapons. Players will choose from several Crews, each with a load and a unique role in combat.

The Disintegration release date is scheduled for 2020 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
