So far, Respawn Entertainment’s Battle Royale shooter Apex Legends has been all about team play. It’s going to change in the new solo mode where you’re all on your own from next week.
The threesome squads in Apex Legends are history. At least in the new solo mode, which will be part of the Battle Royale shooter for a limited time next week.
The Iron Crown Collection Event
Via Twitter, the people in charge announced the new “Iron Crown Collection” event, which will find its way into “Apex Legends” next week.
Between the 13th and 27th of August, you have time to secure your iron crown in the brand new solo mode. Whether there will also be new content during the event is not yet clear.
Next week, only one can reign. 👑

For Respawn Entertainment, the event is more likely to be a test to show whether the players are interested in a solo mode for the Battle Royale shooter. So far, we only went in teams of three in the fight.
If the new mode finds favor, the developers might be able to offer the solo version permanently in Apex Legends. What do you say: Do you have a go for a solo-mode in “Apex Legends”? Let us know in the comments.
