This deadly Warzone machine gun has received an incredible buff
One of Warzone’s overlooked machine guns is set to hit the meta after an unexpected buff, however, a certain attachment enables it.
At times, the Warzone meta has been dominated by a certain weapon, but that hasn’t been the case during Season 1 Reloaded and Season 2, as the meta is at its most diverse yet.
Of course, there are standout options like the SVA 545, MTZ-762, BP50 and Stryker 9, the latter of which was tweaked again in the February 13 update. The Striker has some increased damage range, but also some nerfs to back it up – especially since its horizontal recoil has been increased by about 70%.

This SMG was also joined by TAQ Evolver in an unexpected buff, seeing the LMG increase its damage across the board. However, it’s the 556 ammo type that really helps the TAQ thrive after the buff, especially if you want to use it at medium range.
The best TAQ Evolver class in Warzone Season 2 since the buff
Warzone guru Husimmortal highlighted the LMG buffs shortly after the patch, praising the 556 ammo type for making the LMG “unique” compared to other options.

“I mean, this thing is crazy. This rate of fire is insane and turns it into a close range weapon here at mid range. It (556 ammo) kills the range here, but with the rate of fire it gets crazy, normal rear sight placement is easy here. YouTuber noted that stat specialist JGOD called LMG’s TTK “a little crazy” after the buff.

He also praised the TAQ’s movement speed and control, adding that it has barely any recoil with the increased power.

- Canon: LRF Righteous long barrel
- Sub-cannon: Hound-96 handle
- Charger: Belt of 100 bullets 556
- Stock: Rampart Heavy Stock
As noted, 556 ammo is a stronger option than 762 ammo, the latter of which is described as “heavy” by WhosImmortal.
If the developers have overestimated TAQ, LMG might see some nerfs before long. But, for now, it’s very fun to use and distinctly meta.
