The Last of Us Season 2 star praises Caitlin Dever and talks first day of filming: “We ate”
The Last of You Season 2 star Isabella Merced talks about her first day of filming – and praises co-star Caitlin Dever.
In the second season of Merced, the video game adaptation, Bella Ramsey plays Ellie’s love interest, Dina.
“Caitlin is right up there, like, one of the most talented actors I’ve ever worked with,” Merced said. The last line. “My experience has been very limited, although we did shoot one day for me as Dina. And, I have to say, we ate.”
Madam Web star also has high praise for series co-creator Craig Mazin. “I was such a big fan of the second game, I played it in one weekend,” Merced added. “And then I wondered, how would this translate to TV? And Craig Mazin is one of the most brilliant people—in fact, I think, a genius. I’m sure if they tested, they’d know it’s true. . And he has a way of bringing these characters to life that no one else has been able to come up with in such a short amount of time. I love him. He’s amazing.”
Dever plays Abby in The Last of Us Season 2, one of the co-protagonists of the second game.
“I put Kaitlyn in the stupidest place one time at (a) gala,” Ramsey told Us of his first meeting with Dever. “I put Caitlin in there very briefly while we were waiting for our car. I knew they were talking to her about casting at the time, so it was quiet like ‘hey’ and shared numbers and stuff.”
