At the neurologist, I took three or four steps and he quickly told me without pulling any punches that I had Parkinson’s. I didn’t even stay ten minutes in his office.
Then he finds himself alone, in his car, in the hospital center parking lot and “I burst into tears”. Minutes of wondering: “How am I going to get out of this?” » ; “How am I going to tell my family about this?” »…

Jean-Noël Daguy and Sylvie Labelle are the two new faces of the France Parkinson’s Committee 28 in Nogent-le-Rotrou. He is part of the office established from the end of 2023, of which Damian Voillemot, Nogent is also the representative. “If we don’t show up, there will be no one left in Committee 28,” assures Jean-Noel.

Through these coffee meetings, Jean-Noël and Sylvie want to provide support, answers and advice especially for continuing physical activity. “You should be as active as possible, stretch every day to stay in shape longer, play sports, with ping-pong and tango topping the list of the best sports for sick people,” says Jean-Christmas.
The event also aims to provide psychological support. “We are told that we have a disease without any precautions”, so for some everything can collapse, “but life is not over”.
“It’s harder to be a caregiver than a patient”
Jean-Noel and Sylvie, both living in the capital of Perche, would like to thank Frans Parkinson to help people suffering from this disease. as well as their caregivers.
Being a caregiver is more difficult than a patient, it is very exhausting and we feel helpless and without answers.
They launch thus Coffee meetings (read above), one Saturday a month, at Le Circonflexe association café, for members, patients and carers.
The first meeting will be held on Saturday, February 10.
