Nunu’s Song: A League of Legends Story – A Nunu from Hell?
I don’t play LOL, and if you don’t know the meaning of LOL, it means you don’t either. But I assure you that there is no problem in enjoying Nunu song.
And there, there are two people behind me who say “but why is he talking about LOL?” ” So, no it’s not a movie with Sophie Marceau and no, I’m not talking about dolls LOL, I assure you, it’s for Jingoro. LOL, it’s League of Legends, a free-to-play type of game where You get mad at each other, a classic of the genre that has been a hit for many years. And as a result, there are a few side games subtitled League of Legends Story that have been released on Xbox, and Song of Nunu is the last on the list. And it The last will be because Riot Games has stopped spending with its special series.
Who is he kidding?
Nunu’s Song: A League of Legends Story is a Single-player, 3D Platform-style Narrative Adventure developed by Tequila Works. We will follow the adventures of Nunu and his best friend Willump the Last Yeti in the heart of the icy lands of Freljord. We’ll meet new allies and face enemies in an adventure that combines family, friendship, and magic. Nunu is a little boy who searches for his mother with the help of Willump. United by boundless imagination and a shared love of snowballs, the two friends must work together to escape the Frailjord and save the region. We’ll have action with combat, platforming and climbing, as well as moments of reflection with some cute little puzzles. Nothing too innovative but if the recipe is good, that’s the main thing!
It’s cold here!
In Song of Nunu, the graphics are pleasant and offer an aesthetic that is both beautiful and beautiful. The colorful landscapes are reminiscent of real cartoons, making exploring the frozen lands of the Freljord even more immersive. The art direction and lighting effects help create a captivating atmosphere, although the textures feel simple at times. But it’s not annoying at all, it’s the benefit of the “cartoon/animation” aesthetic that lets you make beautiful games that don’t require crazy resources (the game exists on Nintendo Switch, for your information). However, at times, the game suffers from framerate drops, especially when traveling on Willamp’s back. I think this could have been better polished on the Xbox series
Practical for moving quickly
Gameplay wise, Nunu song is enjoyable. Platforming passages are generally accessible, though the camera can sometimes be problematic, as with almost all games of the genre. During the climbing routes, the game helps us a lot, we rarely get caught out, there is no difficulty on these routes. The fights are classic, you have to juggle between strong and weak blows, combos and dodges of course. These fights, while varied, lack precision in terms of hitboxes, which can sometimes give the impression of not actually hitting enemies. This doesn’t interfere with gameplay but visually it can look odd.
I play the flute on the Yeti, it’s a party!
The musical puzzles with Nunu’s flute make us shake our brains. It is often used to open doors, and to do this, you need to play the musical notes that you see painted on the rocks. Sometimes you have to play with mechanisms to activate your musical pathways. Once again, very classic. The music and sound effects are high average for the genre, and everything fits the adventure very well. And the icing on the cake, the game is dubbed in French and it’s pretty good. Finally, a word on lifespan of course. It takes about 6 to 7 hours to complete a Nunu song, all without any particular difficulty. This accessibility makes it a suitable game for a wide audience.
In conclusion, and despite its minor flaws, Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is a good 3D platform game, charming, entertaining and most of all accessible to all. This almost makes me want to go LOL!
