Hot air balloons are one of the easiest (and least expensive!) motorized vehicles in LEGO Fortnite. Here’s how to create a practical and easy-to-use model to quickly travel anywhere on the map.
Step 1: Support and Propulsion
Start by using a Dynamic Foundation (Gadget) To make the floor of your hot air balloon. Build three Big thrusters (gadgets) Behind the dynamic foundation.
Then, partition with Plank Balustrades 03 (Construction Components>Fences>Balustrades) Around your platform.
Step 2: Ball
later, Board your hot air balloon (Because your machine will go up in the air very quickly with this step!).
Place a Big Balloon (Gadget) In the middle of the platform.
Your hot air balloon will take off immediately until it reaches a steady state at a certain altitude.
Step 3: Order
Finally, put the Activation Switch (Gadget) on the platform. This lever will control the thrusters.
- If you want to change direction, there are several methods. But the easiest way is to climb over the railing and break your thrusters using a pickaxe, then relocate them elsewhere on the foundation in the desired direction..
- To go down simply, the easiest way is to put 4 Small Balloons (Gadgets) At the four corners of your platform, then use your Pickaxe to break the large central balloon.
The vehicle control system in LEGO Fortnite is still quite rudimentary at the time of writing, and breaking and rebuilding elements is still necessary to change direction. Some manufacturers use foundations for the various activation levers “independently” separated from the rest of the machine, but this requires a lot of patience and adjustments.
