LEGO Fortnite 28.10 Patch Notes: Springboard, construction changes and new villagers

LEGO Fortnite update v28.10 is here, adding springboards as a new build to the game, new villagers and more. Here are all the details.

LEGO Fortnite has been booming since its release after the launch of Chapter 5 on December 7, 2023. The mod immediately broke the player count record for Fortnite, thanks to the millions of players who are passionate about the mod. The revolutionary LEGO game.

Although this survival and construction game is still in its early stages, players are asking Epic Games to provide them with more content.

Epic Games then released the LEGO Fortnite v28.10 update, which saw the addition of springboards, new villagers, LEGO skin styles, and a whole host of building and gameplay changes.

Springboard

Epic Games has added Springboard as a new building piece to LEGO Fortnite.

As fun as it is useful, a springboard is a gadget you can build to move faster. Place the springboard on the ground, jump on it and deploy your glider! (You can build a glider on a level 3 workbench.) For more excitement, try placing a springboard on a moving base.

We’ve already seen plenty of builds in LEGO® Fortnite, and update 28.10 aims to make them easier to implement, whether you’re building a mansion on the side of a mountain, a flying machine with thrusters, or anything else. Take a look at the changes:

  • Placing the construction removes any small bushes, stones or plants at the selected location.
  • Placement of buildings on slopes is now more reliable.
  • Want more building components? Floors, walls and ceilings of all sizes and shapes have been added so you can fill in the blanks!
  • You can now stop construction in progress. Components you’ve already placed remain in place, but the blue preview disappears so you can complete the build as you wish.
  • Fixed mode is more obvious to use and fixing points have been added to building components to make them easier to assemble.
  • Looting from chests has been improved, especially those that require encountering enemies or solving puzzles.
  • Explosive scavengers are coming out of their caves and now you can find them in the barren valleys. So getting explosive cores is easy.
  • Speaking of caves, some brutes have found their way down there, so be careful!
  • The hermit crabs are now attacking the villagers, and the villagers are defending themselves!
  • You can now get rid of unwanted items by throwing them into the campfire. (We have an impression that skeleton pickaxes would make good fuel ;))
  • A legend has been added to the map to designate the spawn point location and bag location.

the village

  • Bush, the livestock herder and Mr. Tomato can appear as potential villagers and help you in your adventures!
  • You can now remove the village using the accessible option from Totem. Only world creators and key holders have access to this option.
  • Don’t you want people from your village anymore? Now you can make them leave by destroying their bed and then asking them to leave. 🏆

New skin styles

Update 28.10 brings with it LEGO versions of new outfits! LEGO versions are now available in your locker if you have the following outfits:

  • Ahsoka Tano
  • Fin
  • Jack Skellington
  • Loki Lougheson
  • The red witch
  • Spider Man
  • Star Lord Outfit
  • Thanos
  • Wolverine

Certain outfits that already had a LEGO version now benefit from the later, more detailed version! These more detailed versions replace the previous versions for the moment, but starting in February you’ll be able to choose between the two versions. Here are the outfits for which the detailed version was implemented in update 28.10:

Major improvements, adjustments and bug fixes

Gameplay

  • You can now eat on the go!
  • You will no longer automatically select equipment (and accidentally fill your inventory with items you don’t care about).
  • Crossbow bolts are slightly slower and follow a more natural arc when fired.
  • You can report locations in the world.
  • Placing items in chests automatically stacks them. This also works if you drag items to chests or use a quick drop.

  • To better adapt to their environment, sheep have longer lives.
  • You can recover resources from thrusters, balloons, wheels and switches when they are destroyed. (This only works if thrusters, balloons, wheels and switches are placed then This update. If they are already placed, they will not release resources.)

    • The fried egg recipe has also been modified and the effects of the dish have been adjusted.

  • Eating food with a lower stamina regeneration bonus than the current one will no longer change it.
  • Fixed a bug where the hunger bar did not populate correctly when certain languages ​​were selected.
  • Fixed a bug where players joining your world would appear too far away from all other players.

  • When exiting LEGO Fortnite you don’t appear above the cave.
  • “Respawn” button now works properly.
  • Fixed a rare bug that prevented players from jumping.
  • Chests no longer appear to float in the air when loading a world.
  • Rocks no longer change position when you load a world.
  • Destroyed workstations no longer sometimes reappear when you load a world.
  • Attacks hit enemies and deal more sustained damage.
  • Sheep, cows and chickens can no longer pass through the fence.
  • Creatures near the player are no longer eliminated by accident at the same rate as him.
  • Items you place in chests are no longer invisible to other players as was sometimes the case.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented some players from correctly locating storage chest diagrams.
  • Villagers now do their job well when entrusted with the smelter.
  • You will no longer accidentally destroy a village totem by destroying something nearby.
  • Fixed a bug where workstations could lose their contents when it rained.
  • Fixed a bug where players could get too cold or too hot in grasslands near the Frozen Lands or Barren Valleys.
  • Fixed a bug on mobile that prevented players from eating after picking up crates.
  • Fixed a bug where some cacti would not release any resources after being destroyed.
  • Fixed a bug where some strains could not take damage.
  • When you create a new world, the Neon Terror or Cuddle Expert now follows you until you set up camp, even if you move away. Also, one of them will appear every time you create a world.
  • Players are no longer sent higher after a jump attack on a geyser.
  • Fixed a bug that could stop running.

stability and performance

  • Refresh rate when looking at water has been improved.
  • Added a new message that informs you that your world is closing before reopening (when you leave and return to the world too quickly).
  • Less likely to crash due to improved stability.
  • Fixed a bug where players could get stuck on the loading screen when trying to join a world.

Physical

  • The supply drops more naturally and doesn’t get stuck in mid-air.
  • Larger buildings are more stable and less likely to collapse.
  • Fixed a bug where pieces of destroyed large buildings would disappear through the ground.
  • Fixed a bug where dynamic bases could sometimes go the wrong way when pushed.
  • Fixed a bug where dynamic bases would sometimes not move when you return to your world.
  • Dynamic bases are no longer out of sync with other players in the world.
  • Fixed a bug where wheels could slip from their attachment point or disappear while moving around the world.
  • Long journeys using balloons and thrusters will no longer accidentally destroy parts.
  • Fixed a bug where moving objects would shake frantically and players standing on them would fall.
  • The movement of objects you push, such as logs, is more predictable and less jerky.

interface

  • You can now remove worlds from your “Shared Worlds” list.
  • Added a button to allow the world owner to remove other players from their world and/or remove their keys.
  • Adjusted several interface screens on mobile to improve button layout and size.
  • Added several icons to the HUD on mobile to access certain items.
  • The “All Objects” menu is easier to access in sandbox mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the Totem UI sometimes displayed the wrong village level.
