As with any major game overhaul, some changes were more extreme than others at release. In the case of patch 14.1, players showcased the new power of AP top laners, Singed, Fizz and some new items.

Champion nerfs
The current numbers behind the nerfs have not been revealed yet, but the developers intend to nerf Fizz, Gwen, Kyle, Singed, and Temo. These champions, along with strong AP laners like Morde, LeBlanc, and Rumble, are all beneficiaries of item changes and need to be knocked down a peg.
Lethal changes have also buffed a few champions, and none more so than Aphelios, so he too will be hit with some nerfs in this patch.

Champion Buffs
While it seems like every champion is powerful in the new season, some members of the cast need a lift-up in Riot’s eyes. The developer said that it is looking to improve the powers of Korki, Ezrael, Nafiri, Zack and Z.
Both Naafiri and Zed have been affected by changes to Hydra items and are being buffed to make their gameplay feel a bit stronger. Zack lost one of his better things by removing Radiant Virtue, so he’s getting a few buffs to bring him back up to the level of the other tanks.

Item modification
Certain things have started to go awry within hours of the season’s opening, and Riot aims to manipulate them. The nerf list includes Collector, Hextech Rocketbelt, Stormsurge, Titanic Hydra, and Trailblazer.
In addition, the developer is buffing things that don’t live up to the hype surrounding the 2024 system changes, such as Profane and Ravenous Hydra. Other items include Essence Reaver, Heartsteel, Hubris, Stridebreaker, and Tiamat.
