Inevitable delays?
If Legends of Runeterra and Riot Gorges are the two organizations most affected by Riot’s decision, the League of Legends team is also affected. Following the studio’s announcement, many Internet users asked for answers about future releases and new features on the MOBA, and whether or not the wave of layoffs would affect them. Lexi Gao, one of the leaders of the team in charge of creating Champions, said on social media that several projects could be affected.

In this sense, a new roadmap will soon be introduced for players, to clarify Riot Games’ ideas in the short and medium term.
An opaque situation
The truth is, it’s hard to know what to expect. The retrenchment took everyone by surprise, and no one but the officials knew. Now it remains to be seen whether these projects are at risk. Although it seems clear that they will indeed make it to MOBA, we can assume that they may be delayed.
