Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs and Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills will meet in the playoffs for the third time in four seasons.
Mahomes and Allen are both offensive savants with clear favorite targets (Travis Kelce and Stefon Diggs, respectively) and a willingness to run when space is available.
The two teams battled through the regular season, looking like they would miss the playoffs entirely at times, but eventually regained momentum and won their respective wild card games against the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers.

As the teams are set to clash this weekend, one used the opportunity to take a dig at Mahomes’ wife, Brittany.

When one thinks of “Patrick Mahomes’ best opponent,” Josh Allen is definitely the first person that comes to mind. But for a multiple-time champion, MVP, All-Pro and Pro Bowler, it just doesn’t do justice to the comparison between them.
Speaking to reporters after Wednesday’s practice, he likened their rivalry to Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning.
“I grew up watching those (Brady-Manning) games and I remember how many memories I have from them, and hopefully we can play in these great games and give the memories to the kids that come after us,” Mahomes said.
Off the field, however, the two quarterbacks are friends. Two years ago, they faced Brady and Aaron Rodgers in The Match, a friendly pairs golf tournament in Las Vegas.
“Josh is a great friend,” Mahomes said. “I respect the way he plays football and the person he is. But when two guys who are extremely competitive who are friends off the field, go up against each other, obviously we both want to win. We off We see each other in the season, and you want to get some of those bragging rights.”
Mahomes and Allen’s collisions represent the seventh of their respective careers. The former is just 1-3 in the regular season but 2-0 in the playoffs.
