The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered feature trailer released
A new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered shows what players can expect ahead of release. The remastered version of The Last of Us 2 was announced late last year and will be released in just a few days, on the 19th of this month. Game director Matthew Gallant goes over the features in the trailer, which is designed for the PlayStation 5, making the most of the console and controller. The game is said to include a few more levels than the original sequel, called Lost Levels. These are levels that were not part of the sequel and are believed to be incomplete, with the director’s commentary explaining why these levels were never included in the final release. There is also a new cinematic commentary with actors Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, Shannon Woodward, Neil Druckman and Haley Gross. The original sequel featured a guitar mini-game, which has been expanded to provide players with a free play mode. This mode will allow players to choose between different characters, including Ellie, Joel, and franchise composer Gustavo Santaolla. The mod will also include a steel banjo and resonator, allowing players to get creative while playing.
The game is also supposed to make the most of the PlayStation 5’s DualSense wireless controller to give players an immersive experience. Thanks to the controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, players will be able to feel the tension of the crossbow when firing an arrow or the recoil of a shotgun. This extends to a simple walk in the rain or a dog playing with a bear. Features introduced in The Last of Us Part 1, including audio descriptions for cutscenes and voice for vibrations, will also return in the sequel’s remaster.
The new roguelike survival mode includes No Return
A roguelike mode, No Return, will allow players to choose characters that were previously unplayable. Players are also looking forward to the multiplayer roguelike survival mode, No Return. It was also featured in the trailer, and it was mentioned that players will be able to choose from 10 playable characters. This includes many fan favorite characters that were previously unplayable. Each of these characters will have their own play style, characteristics, and starting inventory. Players will encounter random encounters with remixed levels, enemy factions, game modes and random gameplay changes. Death is permanent in this mode, but there is always a new random run for players to start over. Players can also expect a speedrun mode, which adds a timer to complete the main story. On top of all that, the Remastered Edition will give players new character skins, improve the game’s photo mode, and be visually enhanced to match other PlayStation 5 titles. The Last of Us 2 Remastered will arrive this month on September 19 and will cost $19.99. Players who do not own the original sequel.
