AMD has launched its RX 7600 XT, which is meant to play in Full HD with large textures
While all eyes are on the new super range of GeForce RTX 40 series, AMD is launching the Radeon RX 7600 XT, a small graphics card well equipped with VRAM.
AMD announced it Radeon RX 7600 XT A few days ago, during CES. But today the manufacturer’s new graphics card has been officially launched. On the menu, we find a graphics card that generally has the characteristics of the RX 7600, but with twice the video memory.
Twice the VRAM, but the same graphics chipset
AMD’s catalog apparently had a gap between the Radeon RX 7600 and Radeon RX 7700 XT; So Radeon RX 7600 XT fills this gap at least partially. Like its younger sibling, the Navi 33 is equipped with the same graphics chipset and therefore the same number of compute units (32 compute units or 2048 flow processors, 64 AI Accelerators and 32 Ray Accelerators), the RX 7600 XT still benefits from an increase in GPU boost frequency.
Thus, if the base frequency remains the same, i.e. 1720 MHz, we get 100 smaller MHz on the boost frequency side on the new AMD graphics card. On the VRAM side, if the amount actually increases from 8 GB to 16 GB, the remaining characteristics do not change. So we find out 18 Gbit/s memory on a 128-bit memory bus. In other words, the RX 7600 XT has the same bandwidth as the RX 7600.

Aside from the increase in the amount of graphics memory, the RX 7600 will benefit from 16 GB of VRAM when playing games that use very heavy textures, a powerful brute of AMD’s new card. If you use FSR, reserve it for Full HD or QHD as well.
However, the small difference in performance between the RX 7600 and its XT variant makes up for it The retail price of 365 euros is hard to justify. Here AMD seems to be taking advantage of NVIDIA’s limited offer under 400 euros, with the RTX 4060 surpassing the 7600 XT in classic rasterization.
