Aleph Aeronautics’ first flying car will be unveiled at MWC
For the year 2000, we were promised flying cars, but here they are arriving a little late! American manufacturer Aleph Aeronautics wants to make an event during MWC in Barcelona by unveiling its first flying car prototype.
Goodbye traffic jam
The California-based company has been recognized as the first company in the world to license such vehicles. But she chose a major European mobility exhibition to unveil her invention, which realizes the future vision of urban transport. Designed for two passengers, the vehicle has a maximum speed of 56 kmph for a range of 170 km. A promising solution for daily commuting in an urban environment? This remains to be demonstrated!
Aleph’s flying car doesn’t just offer an alternative to traffic jams: it wants to embody another approach to personal travel, offering the possibility of flying over obstacles to a destination thanks to its design that ensures the stability of the cabin and the driver. With a 180-degree view, it promises a spectacular, or scary, flight experience, depending on your point of view.
Aleph Aeronautics took an important step in the development of its flying car by receiving special certification from the American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) last summer. This official recognition truly marks a historic turning point that validates the company’s ability to test its vehicle in the air and on the roads.
Aleph’s flying car, fully electric, is the first of its kind to receive such authorization, allowing us to imagine its future presence in the skies of our cities! It allows vertical takeoff and landing, an essential feature to avoid traffic jams.
Jim Dukhovny, CEO and co-founder of Aleph, apparently welcomes the arrival of a new era where “ Personal air mobility becomes a tangible reality ” On the production side, there are still a few details to be worked out to get the green light from the road safety authorities (the FAA approval only concerns the testing of the machine).
Offered for pre-order at a price of around $300,000, the vehicle is fully electric; Future owners can opt for a hydrogen version. MWC will be held from February 26 to 29, with thousands of visitors expected to admire new products that will be presented on site by manufacturers.
