Think carefully before you settle
By the time you arrive at the LEGO Fortnite map, you’ll probably be tempted to set up your campfire as quickly as possible to start the adventure. However, it is better to walk around a bit, analyze the surroundings and find a small part of the map.
If you want to optimize your future play area, it is advisable to set up your camp as close as possible to another biome. Still stick to plains, as deserts or mountains can be very dangerous early in the game.

Bring your village to level 3
As soon as you enter the adventure, you are greeted by an NPC (Non-Player Character), who advises you to build a campfire as quickly as possible. Once you’ve found your dream location, it’s time to set up camp and create a village square.

Thanks to this craft, NPCs will start defending the surrounding area. You’ll unlock new item recipes and be able to recruit new characters to help you. After that, it is important to improve the village square regularly, until at least level 3. In fact, you’ll have two travel companions who can take care of the village during your various journeys, battles, and more.

Bring NPCs on your adventures
Whether you’re playing alone or with friends, it’s always best to take villagers with you when you go out. So, of course, they have to equip themselves with items (when they defend the village, they automatically have swords in hand), but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
Whatever you do (chop wood, break rocks, attack enemies), your partner will do the same, saving you precious time. Even if he dies, he will reappear after a while. If you’re in trouble, don’t hesitate to hide for a while while you wait for your Robin to find you.
Fortnite is not a world of pirates. If you see a fairy twinkling in the distance and calling you, don’t worry, it has nothing to do with mermaids. Conversely, like the llamas in Epic Games’ Battle Royale, fairies show you places where rare loot can be found. If you follow them, you will see these amazing Andean animals, then you have to love them to recover the precious loot.

Harvest Chili Peppers and Snow Berries
As we told you, settling near a different biome can be very profitable, especially to collect more or less rare resources. On the other hand, if you plan to venture into frozen lands or deserts, expect to see a drastic drop (or rise) in temperature, which your character will only moderately appreciate.
To overcome this, armor magic can be used. But the most practical and simple method is to eat spicy dishes and snow berries. Thanks to the pepper, your character will not be cold, for the ice berry, it is the opposite. So don’t hesitate to collect as much as you can in each biome so you can explore as much as possible the next time you go there.

Keep your workbench up to date
This may sound simple, but you should not ignore this aspect of the game. In LEGO Fortnite, the only way to unlock new crafting recipes is to keep building. For example, if you want to start gardening, you will first need to make a shovel.
So it is very important to always keep your workbench up to date, which will allow access to new crafts. When you interact with Workbench, look at the top, a tab should appear with the words “Workbench Upgrade”, so you can see what content is needed to level it up. This way you’ll have access to better equipment, you’ll be able to harvest new materials, etc.

Do a series of dodges during fights
When you have a level 3 workbench, you can craft a shield. It can be very useful for knocking out certain enemies, but it can still be surpassed by another technique: dodging.
Indeed, dodging doesn’t use up any stamina in LEGO Fortnite, and unlike shields, they don’t take damage. For example, if you run to escape, you will use up your stamina and potentially be in danger if the enemy catches you. This doesn’t happen with dodging, so don’t hesitate to abuse this mechanic to protect yourself during any fight.

As mentioned above, if you take them with you on an expedition, your villagers will need materials to help you. To avoid trouble, the best strategy is to kill skeletons to quickly collect bones and pickaxes. These items are of poor quality, especially compared to you, but for your lucky companions, it is a godsend not to pass up.
By farming skeletons, you’ll quickly gather what you need to equip your NPCs and so they can help you gather granite and wood alongside you. If you are still early in the game and your items are at level 1, this will allow you to constantly have pickaxes without needing to craft much.

Create markers for your map
The LEGO Fortnite map is far from small. There are “only” four biomes, but they repeat in a spiral at great distances. When you first come across the caves, they will be marked with a separate marker on your map, but this is not the case for other important locations.
It is therefore advisable to regularly create map markers to keep reference points and remember where a particular dreaded enemy, resource, etc. is located. This craft is very quickly acquired in the game and very easy to make (two granites), so treat yourself and become a cartographer.

Always carry wood with you
From the moment you start exploring enough (and especially in caves) you will always regret not having more wood and boards with you. In these areas, some of the chests are sometimes very tall and therefore inaccessible unless you can build something to climb on.

With your board, you can build ladders at any time (and that’s a bit of a Fortnite premise) and climb anything and everything to get the upper hand during a fight (like Obi Wan in Star Wars III, great idea).
