On January 12, 2023, Hollywood was rocked by the news that Elvis Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie Presley – died at the age of 54. Paramedics were dispatched to her home in Calabasas, California, where she was discovered on a cardiac arrest call that morning. Unresponsive by her housekeeper, TMZ reported, she was taken to a local hospital where she died hours later — just two days after attending the 2023 Golden Globe Awards in support of the film “Elvis.”

Priscilla Presley’s rep released a statement to TMZ that read, “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are so grateful and ask for everyone’s support, love and prayers. For privacy in difficult times.” Priscilla also released a statement to People magazine, saying, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known. . “We ask for privacy as we try to cope with this profound loss. Thanks for the love and prayers. No further comment will be made at this time.”
