While in 2022, Sytral Mobilités allowed users to pay for their transport tickets with a bank card, the TCL manager is launching contactless tickets this Thursday. And with that ends the TCL ticket.
This renewal of the ticketing system offers new, more eco-responsible and practical possibilities. Bruno Bernard, President of Metropole de Leon and Citral Mobilites, assures that the current red tickets “Strong Environmental Effects”.
Inspired by what can be done in London, the new card for traveling on the TCL network will have a limited lifespan. Because it can be recharged 10 times or maximum 100 tickets. Then you have to buy a new one. The latter is contactless and recharged at a terminal that will be installed soon.
Each ticket will cost 20 cents. And many observers believe that this is a new tax that does not call its name as envisioned by environmentalists because traveling without a subscription now costs more than before.
Tickets are non-nominative and can be assigned to other users.
However, it will not be possible to combine separate tickets into one ticket. If you use single ticket and family ticket, you will have two separate tickets, which can be recharged 10 times respectively.
