Highly anticipated by video game fans, Abby is the main character in the upcoming season 2 of “The Last of Us”. And its interpreter has finally been revealed!
The 2023 television hit, The Last of Us, proved to the film and television industry that it was possible to brilliantly adapt a live-action video game. Neil Druckman and Craig Mazin’s series has convinced fans of the video game franchise as well as newcomers.
The nine-episode first season of this dramatic, post-apocalyptic thriller adapts the video game. The Last of Us: Part I and chronicles Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Eli (Bella Ramsey)’s roadtrip across the United States ravaged by an epidemic caused by the Cordyceps fungus.
They must travel to Salt Lake City where Eli can be examined as he may be the key to finding a cure for the virus. During their journey, the two grew very close to the point where they almost formed a family relationship.
Already in pre-production after being postponed due to the strike, a second season, which will adapt another video game installment, The Last of Us: Part IIJoel and Ellie’s lives will be shaken up with new adventures and new characters, including one in particular: Abby.

The character is highly anticipated but also feared by fans as she is Ellie’s main rival in the second video game, making her an important character in Season 2.
Several names have been floating around the networks to interpret it, such as Katie O’Brien (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania), Florence Pugh, Erin Kellyman (Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Amber Midthunder, Ronda Rousey or Shannon Barry. Again (The Wilds).

But ultimately it was Caitlin Dever, who appeared in the Unbelievable and Dopesick series but also in the films Booksmart and Trekkie, who was chosen. The Hollywood Reporter. After this important new announcement, fans will have to be patient to find season 2 of The Last of Us, as it is not scheduled to air on HBO until 2025…
