The Last of Us Part.II Remastered: The Same, Only Better?

This new edition of The Last Of Us Part.II is identical in every way to the original game on PS4 available from June 2020 in terms of story, narrative and chapters. You won’t have anything new at this point. On the other hand, this remaster brings a few adjustments and improvements on the technical side. The Last of Us Part.II Remastered therefore offers you two graphic modes:

  • Loyalty mode

    – 30FPS
  • Display mode
    – With 1440p resolution and 4K rendering
    – 60 FPS

Clearly, the visual difference between the two modes is impossible to discern with the naked eye. On the other hand, the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS is clearly felt. Performance mode turned out to be the best choice for running this reissue under optimal conditions.

Max “photoingame”‘s opinion on this remaster and improvements to photo mode

Photo Mod TLOU 2 Remastered

Regarding the graphic aspect, I think the game has a real beauty of textures and more sharpness in details. Thanks to 4K, we see it more significantly in the photo mode of the game, everything looks new and less pixelated on beautiful elements like hair. Or grass, it is very impressive.

Photo Mod TLOU 2 Remastered

In terms of content, it is very generous with a very entertaining and varied No Return mode, which is a kind of reward for players after abandoning multiplayer. In this mode we rediscover settings from a new angle, challenge our scores to spice things up, and rankings (worldwide and daily to compete with the best in particular).
