Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Olympic flame arrives at Adele de Tranquilleon school
Last week, middle school students from La Salle Félix-Anac brought the Olympic flame to their classmates from Adele de Tranquilleon.
Lot-et-Garonnais school children will also be eligible for their Olympic Games. On Friday 5 April, two months before the start of Paris 2024, the Diocese of Agen is organizing one-day sports meetings between the private institutions of the department. Students from the very junior division up to CM2 will participate in the Athletic Olympics in a well-mannered environment.
“There will be a parade with a real opening ceremony,” warns Isabel Terresse, head of establishment at Adele de Tranquilleon. And who calls the opening ceremony the Olympic flame. “The three Olympic flames circulate in the establishments of Agenais, Villeneuvevois and Marmondais,” explains the director.
From La Salle Félix-Anac to the Hermitage
In Agen, on Tuesday 23 January, students from the middle school of La Salle Félix Aunac ran across the city to bring one of three flames to their colleagues from Adele de Tranquillian. “For this beautiful festive moment, nursery and primary school students united to draw the Olympic rings,” reports Christine Pazet-Gonet, physical education and sports teacher at the college. Music and songs punctuated this morning under the sign of Olympism. A delight for both young and old!”
An opportunity to release the song “Paris 2024, No to Doping” recorded by the Nature Protection Club (CPN) of teachers Claire Cardron and Christine Pazet-Gonet in anticipation of Paris 2024. The song was also the subject of a clip broadcast. On France 2.
This Friday, February 2, at 10:15 a.m., about fifty students, including ten from the nursery school, will travel by bike from Adele de Tranqueleon to Saint-Caprice High School, where they will present the flame to their elders. The torch will then continue its journey to the Agricultural High School at Hermitage, before ending its journey on Friday 5 April, a day long awaited by the young athletes of Lot-et-Garonne.
