In total, Russia launched 44 missiles and 20 explosive drones over Ukraine, Ukrainian Army Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzny said on Telegram. In Kyiv, debris from a downed missile hit a 17-story residential building in the Golosivsky district, causing a major fire and killing four people and injuring at least 32 others, according to the town hall. In Mykolaiv, one person died of serious injuries after the attack that destroyed the roofs of about 20 homes and damaged gas and water pipes, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevich said.
Kharkiv, the country’s second city in the east, came under fire from S-300 missiles, regional governor Oleg Sinegobov said. A woman was slightly injured and infrastructure was damaged, he said.
In the Lviv region, a missile hit an industrial site in the town of Drogobych, about fifty kilometers from the Polish border, causing no casualties, regional governor Maksim Kozytsky said on Telegram. However, according to the same source, another missile was able to be shot down in the area.
