LEGO Fortnite dives deeper than actual LEGO Marvel sets
LEGO Fortnite is proving to be a home for minifigure designs that delve deeper into Marvel characters than actual sets.
Not only did LEGO Fortnite beat LEGO Marvel to the punch (barely) last year with minifigure designs, but now the new wave of LEGO Marvel minifigure skins cut deeper into Marvel lore than almost any LEGO Marvel set has managed to do. Recent additions include Marvel Mutants x-23, Psylocke, Domino and Cable.
While Cable was introduced in live-action in Deadpool 2 and Psylocke was portrayed by Mei Melancon and Olivia Munn in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Apocalypse respectively, x-23 and Domino have yet to appear outside of Marvel. This forces them to cut relatively deep when it comes to comics Marvel characters, especially considering the large number of Marvel figures that have appeared in the MCU over the years.
While the LEGO Group would never pursue such deep characters from the comics, naturally preferring to base the setting on the more traditional scenes and characters of the MCU, it seems that LEGO Fortnite is becoming an increasingly good place for LEGO-style versions of characters that we can do Never get into minifigures in real life.
Each character (x-23, Psylocke, Domino, and Cable) can now be purchased from the Fortnite Store for 1,200 V-Bucks or as part of a pack, which includes three of the new Marvel characters. In addition to LEGO skins for each character, you’ll also have access to standard character skins, which can be used in other game modes like Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. If you already have a standard character skin, you don’t need to purchase the LEGO version and it will automatically appear in your library.

I write about all the best fandoms – and by that I mean LEGO, of course. Spending too much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous to my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are rich. You win a little, you lose a little.
