Hence the shopping center is joining The Second Life on Saturday January 27, 2024. How does it work?
“Collections are made online at docksvauban.com or in person throughout the year during four highlights organized by the center. First on January 27 and 28, next to the Docks Vauban reception from 12:30 pm to 6 pm,” explains Clemence Grégoire.
Please note that The Second Life Physical Collection accepts a maximum of 15 items per visit.
In exchange for your clothes, you get a gift card to use in the center’s stores.
Resumption conditions
Second Life includes clothing for men, women, children and children (1 month to 10 years) from 1,200 listed brands. Items must be in new or nearly new condition, clean, ironed and with brand and size label visible on the garment. However, shoes, jewellery, bags, underwear, pyjamas, tights and other accessories are not permitted. If clothing has holes, stains, loose material, tears, pilling or signs of discoloration, alteration or fading, it will also be rejected. Second Life also does not accept clothes more than 10 years old or made from animal fur.
Collection also online
In addition to this on-site collection time, you can also offer your clothes online: “Value your items online, in a few clicks at docksvauban.com, the buy-back price is offered according to a well-defined argument. Once the price is accepted, print your label to ship your clothes for free (5 min, 25 max). After verifying the clothes sent to the workshop, The Second Life informs you of the final amount of your gift card which you can collect at the reception of your center and use in the stores of your choice. »

What happens to purchased clothes?
“The purchased clothes are then resold on the second-hand market in France,” the press release continues. Those not eligible for reimbursement are subject to donations to the Le Grenier Association.
