On June 13, 2022, Sony launched its new PlayStation Plus in North America. Divided into three tiers, this model combines the previous version of PS Plus with PS Now; Depending on the level a person subscribes to, they will have access to certain services and games. Keep up with the day’s gaming videos with Content PlayStation Plus Essential ($9.99/month), a tier equivalent to the older PS Plus. Subscription includes online access, free monthly games and discounts. PlayStation Plus Extra ($14.99/month): In addition to essential tier benefits, Extra offers access to hundreds of PS4 and PS5 games. PlayStation Plus Premium ($17.99/month): In addition to essential and extra tier benefits, Premium includes a library of classic games (PS3, PS2, PSP and PS1), trial and cloud streaming in select regions.
Dylan’s voice: Yeah, so Sony comes out with this new PlayStation Plus, and frankly, it’s pretty cool. Three service levels to choose from with plenty of great games and other benefits. If you’re into pop culture and video games, it’s really interesting.
Basically, PS Plus Premium, the most expensive, gives you access to over 700 games spanning two decades of PlayStation history. She’s a little spoiled for choice! But hey, in my opinion, it’s worth it if you’re really a fan of the classics.
Every month, Sony adds some new games to the program. As such, the package contains Resident Evil 2, but you still have to pay for an additional level to access it. And if you choose to purchase a physical copy, I’ve included an Amazon link for each game.
No but seriously, it’s a bit of heaven for video game fans. PS Plus Premium subscriptions are sure to be a hit with all these classic titles available. And then, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is in the mix. A great game with crazy graphics and great gameplay.
In short, it is a really good deal for gamers. And I speak with a knowledge of facts, a passion for pop culture and video games.
