Good news, this smartphone brand will return to France
After the signing of the agreement between Oppo and Nokia, other brands of the group followed. It’s Vivo’s turn, good news for the release of the Vivo X100 Pro in France.
For more than a year, the future of the Chinese group of brands that brings together Oppo, Vivo, Realme and OnePlus has been unclear to say the least. There is a legal dispute between the group and Nokia over several patents in mobile telephony. All this led to the end of activity and the dismissal of employees for Oppo France.
For consumers, this also meant that many brands disappeared from the market, and so there were fewer options for Samsung and Apple. Very bad news, especially since Oppo and Vivo smartphones were the best in the market.
Nokia buries the hatchet
In late January 2024, things took a whole new turn. Oppo and Nokia have announced the signing of an agreement valid in France regarding the use of patents. Nothing is stopping Oppo from re-marketing its smartphones in the country.
What about the group’s other brands? Today we learn in the column of WinFuture The Vivo brand was also able to contract with Nokia in Germany. The Vivo brand is much less known in Europe and France, but this is very good news.
This means that the Vivo X100 Pro will indeed be able to be sold in the French market. This is the latest flagship of the brand with very attractive features: 2800 x 1260 pixels OLED screen, Dimensiti 9300 chip or even 120 W wired charging.
We now expect an official announcement from Vivo France. Almost a year ago, the Vivo X90 Pro convinced us.
