Following Cedena’s warning, Mexico agrees with the US to investigate the seizure of weapons from the US military.

Among the political achievements, Foreign Minister Barcena highlighted that the results achieved by Mexico to reduce the encounter on the northern border by more than half were appreciated.
It was also recognized that the migration phenomenon “is not an issue between Mexico and the United States, but a regional issue in which there is cooperation.”
“The paradigm changed from the Palenque summit where there was agreement on the importance of addressing structural causes of both economic and political nature, as well as cooperation on repatriation flights associated with development packages for returnees,” he mentioned.
“Work together to expand orderly, regular and safe migration routes,” he added.
President López Obrador hinted that this Tuesday he might hold a meeting with the Texas congressman: “It’s good that I can talk to him because he’s like our countrymen, we’ll understand each other better!”
