Paris Saint-Germain battled to victory at Meinau, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé and Marco Asensio (1-2) on matchday 20 of Ligue 1 on Friday.

The Mbappé-Asensio association worked well
Paris’ attacking duo, consisting of the extremely talented Marco Asensio on the left and Kylian Mbappé in the No. 9 position, were decisive during the 2-1 victory in Strasbourg this Friday evening. After his missed penalty in the 4th minute of the game, Kylian Mbappé recovered well in the first half. He was also on the end of Paris’ first goal, after excellent pressing from Marco Asensio, recovering the ball and a crucial passer. In the second half, after an electrifying counter-attack, Mbappé found Asensio on the opposite side to score his third goal in four matches with PSG.

Bellaruch, first assured in Ligue 1
22-year-old Strasbourg goalkeeper Alaa Bellaroch made his first appearance in Ligue 1 following Metz Sels’ departure for Nottingham at the end of the transfer window. Despite his brilliant start to the match and a penalty saved by Kylian Mbappé, the Moroccan goalkeeper’s performance was marred by a mistake midway through the first half. Forward outside his penalty area, Bellaroch missed the clearance that scored the first goal. Donnarumma did the job
Paris Saint-Germain’s Italian goalkeeper was decisive on numerous occasions against Racing on Friday. From the first minute of the game, Gigio Donnarumma made a great save to allow his team to stay in the match. Strasbourg scored twenty times (compared to nine for Paris), and had eight shots on target (compared to five for Paris Saint-Germain).
