“I was going to work right away,” the actor added, “and this director named Jeff Nichols said, ‘They can afford to make you a bald cap but we can’t really do your hair. So, do you just have a bald cap?’ So I did it.”

Why did Austin Butler go bald for Dune 2?

Butler, who was joined by her co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya Coleman and Florence Pugh, added that the ‘Dune’ hair and makeup team created a special bald cap to hide her eyebrows.

“It was three hours a day,” he said of the time it took to prepare it, “and that’s when they brought it down.” The Golden Globe Award winner goes completely bald to play the villain Fayed-Routha.
